strand mats

Chopped strand mats are made from glass fiber chopped strand, put in non-orientated directions, fastened by emulsion or powder binder which distinguish properties of the product. Content of binder in the mat is 3,3 – 6 % of total veight.

Both types of chopped strand mats (CSM) wet out very well in styren. CSM are used for hand lay-up and also in continuous procesess, for lamination of products for industry use, transport, leasure time and sports.

Emulsion CSM is used for products with not high demand of trasparency of product. Powder CSM is suitable for shape-complicated and transparent products.
